All About Connie
Here’s the short version:
I am a writer. I was born to be a writer. Maybe somewhere, deep inside me, from the time I was three and I was reading everything within focusing distance, my subconscious knew I was born to be a writer.
But the worldly part of me thought I was supposed to be an engineer. So I studied hard, took a lot of math and science and engineering classes, got a degree in electrical engineering–and because I’m an overachiever, became a state-registered engineer and worked for over a decade and a half, climbing corporate ladders, jumping corporate ships and enjoying corporate salaries, all the things the world told me to do.
Then one day, my soul rebelled.
And today I write.
What do I miss? The money. My husband misses the money even more.
What did I gain? My identity.
For the daily details of me, see my bio–it’s written in the traditional manner. No navel gazing or staring into a flickering candle. Just the part you see on the outside.
To see me on the inside, read what I write. (Be sure to read between the lines. )
P.S. My literary agent assures me the money will happen. I’ve just got to finish the right book. I believe her.
