Just finished a round of interviews. Thanks so much to all the wonderful blogs that hosted me! I learned a great deal about myself and my writing style while being interviewed.

Check out the title of this post.  Yes, I love alliteration.

The four people Goodreads choose to receive copies of The Baby Who Saved Dr. Cynical are Randy in the U.S.; Suzette in the Phillipines; Gail in Canada; Marcelle in the U.S

I’m popping those copies in the mail today.

I made up a Goodreads quiz to celebrate. (This is the first quiz I’ve ever made up, so please be kind when critiquing it, okay?)

Where can you get a copy of The Baby Who Saved Dr Cynical?

  •  directly through Mills and BoonUK  in both paperback and ebook. (releases Feb 2012)
  • directly through Harlequin in paperback. (releases March 2012)
  • directly through Harlequin in ebook (release April 2012)
  • directly through Mills and Boon AU in both paperback and ebook (releases March 2012)
  • in paperback through Amazon.co.uk
  • for your Kindle through Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.(you get the idea, right)  Through ALL amazon dot’s  everywhere.  Sometimes they will have the paperback version and maybe the hardback version available, too. (release dates vary)
  • for your Nook through Barnes and Noble (release April 2012)

And The Baby Who Saved Dr Cynical as been translated into French and given a new cover and title:  Le dilemme du Dr Montclair

and is paired with another book.  You may find the 2-in-1 pairing at Amazon.fr.  Go ahead. Click the link. I know you’re curious.

By the way, I got fancy with the Amazon links and they are supposed to go to  the amazon site in the same country you’re in.  If it doesn’t work, please–let me know so I can fix or get rid of them–and just try it without using my fancy links.

I couldn’t  have made it through childhood or adolescence without books. My mind would have imploded and I would have died of boredom-driven insanity. I am positive of it.

So understand how hard it is for me to wrap my brain around the concept that some people don’t read, don’t have books of their own, don’t experience the wonderful, life-saving, soul-igniting awe that I have found in a story.

I’m a better person because I read.  Maybe I’m a more arrogant person because I read, but I’m thinking we all would be better people if we read. Our children would be better people, too.  Because books expand you.  They expand your vision and your imagination and your command of language.  Those that read have more tools in their mental toolbox with which to communicate.

That’s why I’m on the board of my parish library (in Louisiana we have parishes instead of counties-most readers know this, right?). I am very proud to be an official Friend of the Library.  I am also excited and hopeful that I will be picked to distribute books for World Book Night.

You, too, can help the world improve.  Volunteer at your local library or to be a part of your community literacy efforts.  Go here : http://www.us.worldbooknight.org/ and apply to distribute books.   Give a single book to your nephew or your grandchild or a complete stranger.  No effort is too small.  They all count.  They all add up.  They all make a better, perhaps even a saner, world.
